BYU/ISU Game

We went to the BYU/ISU game this weekend in Provo. It was freezing. Snow, rain, frigid cold! It was kind of fun at the same time because we got to get all bundled up, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy everyone's company.

Let's recap

I had a wonderful dinner with a friend yesterday and her mention of her blog made me want to get back on here and blog a little more. :)

So many things have happened and I feel like my life has been a whirlwind of emotions!

My divorce was finalized in February (Has it really almost been a year!?)
Sasha has started Kindergarten!! And lost her first tooth!
I have started dating. WHAT?!

Can I just say that dating as a post-married person is so much different from dating as a teenager? COMPLETELY different! And most guys are freakishly open about how they want to jump into marriage, quick engagements, babies, dogs, and moving to Africa?! HOLD UP!

But after many crazies, I have found a good egg. His name is Chris. And guess what!? He has red hair! He lives in Utah - so we are kind of nut cases trying to schedule time to see each other around him having 4 kids, and me having Sasha. The good news is that we have our kids on the same weekends, which means we are kid-less on the same weekends!!

He makes my brain fuzzy and my abs hurt! (From constantly laughing). But is there anything better? I am pretty lucky that I get to see him as much as I do. He makes a lot of effort of coming to me, or rearranging his schedule to allow time for me. I am so grateful for that.


This is my crazy baby at her birthday lunch. Do you think I can get her to smile normal for a picture? No....no I can't. Not only does she usually pull crazy faces, but she thoroughly enjoys PHOTO-BOMBING other peoples pictures ON PURPOSE!!! Wow....I don't know where she got that from!

My Mother

           My mom was put into the ICU here at Portneuf Medical Center last Friday - it has been the longest 7 days!! She is really ill, and the doctors can't seem to pin point what is making her white blood cell  count continue to rise every day. I feel so helpless because there is nothing any of us can do at this point. She doesn't recognize us, isn't responding to people, isn't eating or drinking on her own - so we are waiting anxiously for news on her situation.

           On a happy note, the 26th was Kaitlin's birthday! I drove over to my folk's house to say hi after work, and when I walked in the door, Korth was sitting there on the couch!! What a surprise! I really needed the mood-boost! We took a few pictures - here they are! We kind of act like nerds when we are together!

Christmas Eve

      We had a fun Christmas Eve night. We all went to Kira's house for dinner and to decorate Gingerbread Men! The kids did such a great job!

     Sasha and I had our Christmas on Christmas Eve since she was going to be with Mark on Christmas Day. I LOVED watching her open her gifts!! Her main gift from me was her Leapster. Her cousins all have them, and she has wanted one for a while. (Kira snagged a stellar deal on a pink one for me on Black Friday!) Thanks lady!!

Starting Anew

It's taken me a long time to get to the point where I could start blogging again. So much has happened the last two years, and I needed to focus on my family and getting to a better place.

Sasha and I are starting a new journey. I am now a single mom, and she is a child with two houses, two beds, to sets of clothes, two sets of....everything. Coming from a family that never knew divorce, I can't sympathize what she is having to go through - but what I do know, is that we are going to be doing this fantastic journey together!!
